Welcome to The Modern Dash! This Web log is dedicated to the study of Modernism as expressed through literature and other art. It will take a first person approach to works generally given to that movement, as well as works which put it in perspective. I will explore Modernism as a genre with the mindset that one can do Modernism by applying both a critical and a personal eye.
My goal for this blog is to illuminate the topic for readers and learn as much as I can personally. I was once taught that “writing is reading, and reading is learning.” I will attempt to exemplify that here. Currently (as of June 18, 2008), I expect to make posts on this blog twice weekly.
